our belief on prayer

DeSoto First Church believes that we are to live a life of consistent & heart stirring prayer. It is through prayer that the gift of the Holy Spirit moves in us and affects every area of our life. Prayer is the connection we have with God. If prayer is broken then our contact with the only true God is broken. 

DeSoto First Church promotes daily prayer for anyone wanting to grow closer to God. Due to the importance of prayer we have an entire team devoted to promoting prayer in the church. The different promotions include prayer meetings, times of fasting & prayer, pre-service prayer, early morning prayer times, & many other forms to stir the soul to pray.

We live by the motto "the family that prays together, stays together"
