our story
Founded in 2000 in a home by Pastor Hank Freelen. The church quickly moved to a humble storefront with salmon colored carpet. In 2004 the Holley family came to assist in ministry. Through hard work the church consistently grew til the store font was full. Joining up with a ministry of the United Pentecostal Church Incorporated called Church-In-A-Day our first building was fully constructed in 17 hours & the first service was Sept. 11, 2005. The packed house & powerful service set the precedent for what is now a revival church.
As of Nov. 2011 we finished the 2nd phase of our building program, expanding our sanctuary to almost double in size & adding a classroom as well as enlarging the entry way.
In Jan. 2012 the church voted in Ryan Holley as Pastor and Hank Freelen as the Bishop/Founding Pastor. This will set the church into prime position to transition into the next phase of growth and revival that God has in store for DeSoto First Church.
